Local Medicare Help, Backed by 7+ Years of Experience

I started helping people with Medicare at age 20. I was going to senior centers and food banks, talking with seniors, learning their stories, and helping them find plans that worked best for them. It’s been 7 years now and I’ve helped over a thousand people compare plans, check their prescriptions, and enroll on a plan they are happy with. I’m a licensed, independent broker who lives and works right here in Mesa. That means I work with more than one insurance company. It does not matter to me what plan you enroll with, just that you are happy with it. I know Medicare can feel overwhelming. Every person I talk to over 65 is relentlessly called asking for Medicare information. When you call me, you talk to me, not a call center, not a recording, not someone from another country. A real person you can understand easily.

Four Reasons Seniors Choose Andy Over a 1-800 Number

You Get a Real Person

When you call, I am the one who picks up the phone. After you’re enrolled I am your man, any questions or problems you still have me available. You’ll never be transferred to someone else or put on hold for 45 minutes.

Plans That Work For You

I start by asking about your doctors, your prescriptions, and your budget. Then I show you plans that work for your needs.

More Options, Not Fewer

Because I’m independent, I look at every plan I am contracted with. You see all your choices in one place and simplify the options so you are not overwhelmed.

It Costs You Nothing

My help is free. The pay structure for me is I get paid by the carrier and continue to get paid as long as you are on the plan, so I want you to be happy with what you have!

Not Sure Which Medicare Plan Is Right for You?

Here is a breakdown of the three main options. When you call I will help you figure out which one makes the most sense for your situation.

Most Popular

Medicare Advantage

Medicare Advantage provides your Part A and Part B benefits through a private plan. Most plans include Part D, and some offer extra benefits. Premiums, copays, provider networks and coverage rules vary. You must keep paying your Part B premium, even if the plan premium is $0.
Most Flexible

Medicare Supplement

Also called Medigap, Medicare Supplement insurance helps pay certain out-of-pocket costs under Original Medicare. Benefits vary by standardized plan, and you can generally see any provider who accepts Medicare. You pay a separate premium. These policies do not include Part D prescription drug coverage.
Drug Coverage

Prescription Drug Plans (Part D)

Medicare Supplement plans do not include prescription drug coverage. You can add a standalone Part D plan. Going 63 days or more without Part D or other creditable drug coverage can lead to a late enrollment penalty; exceptions apply, including Extra Help. We can review your medications, coverage and costs together.

Three Simple Steps to Get the Right Medicare Plan

It really is that easy!

1

Schedule a Call

Me and you will talk about your situation. I will get a list of your doctors, your prescriptions, and what matters most to you. I take that back and do research specifically for you.
2

Review Your Options Together

I compare plans from multiple carriers and show you the differences. What’s covered, what it costs, and what the pros and cons are.
3

Enroll With Confidence

Once we settle on the plan that fits you best, we submit the enrollment. You save my number and can reach out to me with any questions any time. I continue to review plan changes each year to keep you on the best plans.

Turning 65 Soon? Let’s Plan Your Next Steps.

Your Initial Enrollment Period generally lasts seven months: the three months before your 65th birthday month, your birthday month, and the three months after. Just make sure you do it in time otherwise you may face penalties and have to wait for a future date to enroll. Whether you’re 3 months out or 12 months away, now is the time to start planning.
7 Months in the Initial Enrollment Period. Your current coverage can affect when you should enroll.

Common Medicare Questions, Answered

These are the questions I hear very frequently, if you have another please call and ask.

What’s the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement?

Medicare Advantage provides your Part A and Part B benefits through a private plan, often with Part D and extra benefits. Costs, networks and coverage rules vary. Medigap helps pay certain out-of-pocket costs with Original Medicare and has a separate premium. New Medigap policies do not include Part D.

Will my doctor accept the plan?

If I am recommending it to you, most likely yes, but it depends on the plan. I always make sure to verify doctors so you can maintain those important relationships.

Are my prescriptions covered?

Plans with Part D coverage use a formulary, or covered-drug list. I check your medications, pharmacy, estimated costs and coverage rules before recommending a plan. Coverage and costs vary by plan.

When should I enroll in Medicare?

Most people become eligible at 65. Your enrollment window starts 3 months before your birthday month and ends 3 months after. Everyone’s situation is different and I would recommend calling to verify when it’s right for you. If you or your spouse are still working, employer group health coverage may allow you to delay Part B. Employer size and coverage rules matter, so confirm your situation before delaying enrollment.

Is there any cost to work with a broker?

Nope! I get paid by the company as long as you are on the plan, which means I want the plan to make you happy and you to stay with them. Nothing changes for you whether or not you work with a broker besides getting more educated help.

I already have a plan. Can you still help?

Yes. During the Annual Election Period (AEP) which is in the fall (October 15 through December 7), you can review and switch plans. They change every year so I highly encourage everyone to reach out. I can check whether your current plan still fits or if there’s a better option for next year.

I would highly recommend Andy to anyone who is struggling with any insurance issues, especially with the state. My Mom was at a complete loss, trying to navigate the state, which was super frustrating and really slow, and couldn't get coverage quickly when she lost her previous insurance. Andy really spent time helping her get the right coverage she needed and cut through all the struggles. Relieved a great amount of stress off her shoulders and got her back on the right track, and I couldn't ask for anyone better to help others than Andy!

Thank you for helping my family navigate the complexities of insurance. I'll be honest, I have no idea how it works, but Andy was very kind and patient in answering my several questions. Would recommend.

Mr. Childs was very professional and extremely friendly, and made sure to help me every step of the way which wasn't easy as I had a lot of questions, paranoia, and anxiety for him to navigate, as insurance is Not something I understand very well. But he walked me through everything with patience, kindness and the kind of effort one does not generally get to see in customer service anymore. When we ran into issues during the switch from regular Medicare to the offered Advantage plan, he was "Johnny on the spot" and assured me he and his team would get it sorted ASAP. And within 48 hours everything was figured out and cleared up. He and his team are very reassuring and super helpful, exceptionally patient and knowledgeable about their stuff. Highly recommend working with him if you get the chance.

I'm going to tell u about my agent, Andy Childs....first off ...I'm a 65 year old and I had been on SSDI For approx.5 yrs, before I moved from CA. To AZ...I've lived in AZ. now for about 5 years...when I came here, Social Security had changed my income to SSI, ..which didn't help me ,..in fact , my income had decreased. This put me at a below poverty level of living..I had a very difficult time just to make ends meet.. I have alot of different things that I take medications for, and these medications r what keeps me alive...in 2024, my medications were all expired and I ran out of the most important ones ..I still didn't have a primary care doctor, nor did I have the money to pay a doctor, or get any help in finding one..I got very ill and was in a bad situation in May of 2024, ..I was hospitalized, and had to stay for several days bc I quit breathing and the paramedics were called , they got me breathing again in the emergency room..I was treated by the trauma team, and woke up finally after about 2 hrs...this changed my life,.. Social Security had once again changed me to being permanently disabled...I got a little more money, but still not enough to be able to live with the care I needed...in March of 2025, I finally got my notice from Social Security Retirement Benifits, and a Medicare Card,...I had no idea of what I was suppose to do , choose, or who to contact...this whole idea of now trying to organize a insurance plan, make choices, or even be able to pick who would be the best company for me considering all of my medical conditions.. in fact I shut down, and I was confused, scared, and almost gave up on life...I had applied with a health insurance company but only to be denied, I tried to understand the Medicare program but with no luck...the letters kept coming in the mail, yet I just had so many to try to consider...I got a letter from the Wellcare program , so I tried the phone number, and spoke with the agent...I couldn't believe how very considerate and calming this man was the very first time I spoke to him..he helped me to get all the medical care i needed and so much more...he explained everything to me in a way i could understand..and helped me compare the programs to each other. He actually treated me with the utmost respect and helped me to decide which plan was best for me...and believe me , it was not easy to do...so many questions, i had... He took the time to help me, every time I called, to answer back, to return my messages, and everytime he had a solution...I honestly don't know what I would have done had I gotten any one eles for an agent...Andy Childs is an excellent agent, he knows the in's and outs of the Medicare World, and he's a very kind person, with a big heart ♥..He gets 10 stars from me..and I pray I never loose him as my Medicare Advisor....thank you, Andy...for all u have helped me with.. Thank you, for ur kindness, ur honesty, and for being who u r.... Respectfully, ... Caryn Bouche.... Lake Havasu City, AZ..
